New Ph.D. and Postdoc Positions Available in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Université Laval

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. candidates: Must hold a Master’s degree in electrical power engineering with strong analytical and programming skills.
- Postdoc candidates: Must possess a Ph.D. in electrical power/telecommunication engineering with expertise in signal processing, estimation theory, machine learning, and IEC 61850 standard. Graduation within the last 4 years is required.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C++ is essential, along with experience in data analysis and algorithm development.
Description: The project aims to advance Distributed Dynamic State Estimators (D-DSE) through innovative research in waveform data analysis and dynamic state estimation algorithms. Successful candidates will engage in pioneering research, collaborate with industry partners, and contribute to the development of digital substation simulators. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative solutions for waveform data analysis with superior time-frequency resolution.
- Design and implement advanced algorithms for wave characterization, dynamic state estimation, and model calibration.

- Contribute to the development and testing of D-DSE prototypes.
