Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. Candidates: Must hold an M.Sc. in plant molecular biology or a related field.
  • M.Sc. Candidates: Should possess a B.Sc. in biology or a related discipline.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a strong foundation in plant molecular biology.
  • Ph.D. candidates should have hands-on experience in plant tissue culture and transformation.
  • Knowledge of computational methods for analyzing gene and protein sequences is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.

Job Description

The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative team in laboratory and greenhouse environments, conducting research that includes:

  1. In silico assessment of gene families
  2. Generation of plant binary constructs
  3. Canola transformation
  4. Physiological and phenotypic evaluation of transgenic plants
  5. Genetic analysis and molecular characterization
