Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. Candidates: Must hold an M.Sc. in plant molecular biology or a related field.
- M.Sc. Candidates: Should possess a B.Sc. in biology or a related discipline.
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong foundation in plant molecular biology.
- Ph.D. candidates should have hands-on experience in plant tissue culture and transformation.
- Knowledge of computational methods for analyzing gene and protein sequences is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential.
Job Description
The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative team in laboratory and greenhouse environments, conducting research that includes:
- In silico assessment of gene families
- Generation of plant binary constructs
- Canola transformation
- Physiological and phenotypic evaluation of transgenic plants
- Genetic analysis and molecular characterization
