  • Strong applied or industrial experience in areas such as deep learning will also be considered

Job Description

The successful candidates will engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of mathematics and machine learning. The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) offers a vibrant research environment and opportunities for collaboration with top institutions. The Ph.D. positions are part of the Berlin Mathematical School, a joint graduate school of Berlin’s major universities. The research will be conducted in downtown Berlin, one of the most culturally rich and diverse cities in the world. Free German language courses are available, although working knowledge of German is not required.
