Ph.D. Research Assistant in Fruit Biology/Postharvest – Spring/Fall 2024
The Ph.D. research assistant will investigate the development of physiological disorders in apples using a multidisciplinary approach. This research offers an opportunity to contribute to the understanding of fruit biology and postharvest processes. The scholarship includes a competitive stipend, full tuition coverage, and fringe benefits.
Eligibility: Applicants should have a B.S. and/or M.S. in plant science, horticulture, plant molecular biology, plant biochemistry, food science, or a related field. Essential qualifications include experience in standard molecular biology and biochemical techniques, data analysis, and a background in fruit crops. Proficiency in analytical chemistry is a plus. Candidates should possess excellent writing and communication skills, be organized, creative, and enthusiastic about working independently and collaboratively.
