Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in any branch of Science with minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS.
- Minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender, and Persons with Disability (PwD).
- Applicants should possess a valid National-level Fellowship (JRF/SRF) from funding agencies like CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, etc., or equivalent fellowships like DBT-BET, INSPIRE, RGNF, etc. (tenable at all AcSIR academic centers).
Job Description: Selected candidates will engage in cutting-edge research in various areas of modern biology, leading to the completion of a Ph.D. degree. Research activities will involve experimentation, data analysis, literature review, and collaboration within the research team.

Selection Process:
- Online applications will be screened, and eligible candidates will be called for a computer-based written test at their preferred centers or a remote proctored online test on 08.10.2023.
- Candidates with a valid fellowship for pursuing Ph.D. will qualify for an in-person interview at CCMB in the last week of October 2023. The interview will consist of two rounds across two separate days.
Note:
- Candidates must first register with AcSIR and select CSIR-CCMB Ph.D. program as an option before applying to CSIR-CCMB.
- The fellowship must be valid at the time of joining (January 2024).
- Candidates with only lecturer-ship in CSIR-UGC (NET) examination will not be shortlisted for the interview.
- Selected candidates need to arrange their own travel, stay, etc., for the examination center and/or Hyderabad interviews. CCMB will not provide a traveling allowance.
- Selection for pursuing a Ph.D. at CCMB is based on performance in the preliminary and final interviews. Fulfilling minimum requirements does not automatically guarantee selection.
