Ph.D. Student Position in Cell Biology: The School of Life Sciences at the Technische Universität München in Freising-Weihenstephan is offering a Ph.D. student position in the group of Dr. Philipp Denninger. This position, under the “MAGLand” DFG Priority Programme, focuses on studying the evolutionary aspects of plant cell biology, specifically the signaling pathways regulated by RhoGTPase signaling in multiple plant species.
Summary Table:
Position | Ph.D. Student (f/m/d) |
---|---|
Research Area | Evolutionary Plant Cell Biology |
Funding Source | “MAGLand” DFG Priority Programme |
Duration | 3 years with salary according to TV-L (€13, 65%) |
Start Date | From 01.02.2024 or as arranged |
Application Deadline | Open until a suitable candidate is found |
Study Area: The research focuses on the evolutionary aspects of RhoGTPase signaling in Spirogyra algae, Liverworts, and Mosses. The goal is to understand how plant RhoGTPase effectors evolved during the conquest of land and how their properties adapted during the evolution of the green lineage.
