Eligibility/Qualification
- PharmD plus completion of a PGY1 residency, pharmacy-related post-graduate fellowship, or a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacy Outcomes, or an equivalent degree.
- Must be licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (applies only to PharmD applicants).
Description
The Academic Fellowship at the University of Kentucky is designed for graduates seeking to develop their teaching skills, engage in scholarly research, and participate in the academic community. Fellows will have the opportunity to teach and facilitate lectures, engage in curriculum service activities, and conduct research focused on teaching and learning. PharmD fellows will also have a small clinical component within the University of Kentucky Healthcare system based on their expertise.
Fellows are encouraged to enroll and complete two master’s-level education courses each semester. The role includes participation in committees and faculty development workshops, with the expectation of regular involvement in departmental and college meetings.
