Eligibility / Qualification
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline
- Strong background in synthetic/experimental chemistry
- Motivated, resilient, and able to work independently in a laboratory research environment
- Demonstrated interest or prior experience in green chemistry, materials modeling, or photocatalysis is an advantage
Job Description
Successful candidates will join the Green Chemistry and Materials Modelling Laboratory (GCMM) led by Prof. Sharmarke Mohamed. The position will include:
- Conducting experimental research in mechanochemistry and photocatalysis
- Developing sustainable methods for converting plastic waste into valuable materials
- Repurposing polymers for adsorption and separation of various chemicals
- Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborating with team members and contributing to project development
