Eligibility/Qualification

DesignationQualifications
PhD ResearcherMSc in Bioscience Engineering, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Meteorology, Remotely Sensed Earth Observation, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, or equivalent. Strong motivation in plant-soil interactions, experience in data-processing/programming (Matlab, Python, R, etc.).
Postdoctoral ResearcherPhD in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Bioscience Engineering, Hydrology, Meteorology, or equivalent. Experience in modeling, remote sensing, and large datasets. Proficiency in programming and data-processing software (Python, Matlab, etc.). High-performance computing experience is preferred.

Job Description

  • Conduct high-quality research on crop forecasting and satellite data assimilation.
  • Convert scientific results into publications.
  • Develop open-source code and an operational crop modeling system.
  • Supervise master’s thesis students (for PhD candidates).
  • Follow training in line with doctoral school requirements (PhD candidates).
