PhD Candidate – Animal Health Program: IRTA-CReSA is inviting applications for a full-time PhD Candidate position in the Animal Health Program. The successful candidate will work on animal prion diseases pathogenesis and neuropathology under the supervision of Dr. Enric Vidal Barba. The position is based at CReSA, offering a one-year contract, extendable to a maximum of four years, with a competitive salary and employee benefits.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Veterinary Medicine or Master’s Degree in life sciences.
- Access to a doctoral program (60-120 ECTS credits at the official university master’s degree level or equivalent).
- No previous PhD degree.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience/accreditation to work with laboratory animals.
- Knowledge/interest in veterinary pathology, especially neuropathology of the mouse brain.
- Comfort working in a high biocontainment environment.
Languages:
- Proficiency in English.
- Catalan and Spanish are valued.
