PhD candidate – Origin of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders in Childhood (f/m/x) at Helmholtz Munich

Study Area: Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Molecular Medicine, Nutritional Science, Physiology, etc.)

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in life sciences or related fields.
  • Exceptional teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to work in an international, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Scientific curiosity and commitment to scientific excellence.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; German language skills are advantageous.

Description: Contribute to research projects focused on identifying epigenetic signals, alterations in energy metabolism, regulatory factors, and gene-environment interactions related to childhood obesity. Utilize clinical and experimental approaches to characterize molecular candidates and understand adipose tissue accumulation and adipocyte differentiation. Collaborate with renowned scientists and contribute to groundbreaking research in metabolic health.
