Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field.
  • Interest in biomarkers, proteomics/metabolomics, biobanks & collections, and/or pre-analytical processing.
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics is a plus.
  • Good command of spoken and written Dutch and English.
  • Preferably knowledge of laws and regulations regarding the use of body materials for research.

Description

As a PhD candidate, you will:

  • Develop quality standards for body materials within the Health-RI project.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research in proteomics/metabolomics.
  • Test biomaterials for their usability in cardiovascular disease biomarker research.
  • Publish research findings in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Present your research at national and international conferences.
