PhD Candidate in Biology – Effect of Agriculture on the Plant Microbiome
The MicroHealth project explores the relationship between agriculture, soil, plant quality, and human health. As a Ph.D. candidate, you will conduct field and greenhouse experiments to understand the effects of fertilizer use on the microbiome and nutritional composition of open field crops. The project involves collaboration with a diverse team of experts, including plant and human biologists, sociologists, and data analysts.
Eligibility:
- Ph.D. in Biology or Plant Science
- Experience with experimental work involving plants
- Familiarity with omics analysis (especially microbiome and metabolomics)
- Programming skills, especially in R
- Affinity with plant metabolism and the plant microbiome
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
