Eligibility/Qualification

  • A relevant Master’s degree in applied and computational mathematics, physics, geophysics, computer science, petroleum/chemical/mechanical engineering, or similar fields.
  • An average grade of B or better (equivalent to NTNU’s grading scale).
  • Proficiency in English (documented via tests like TOEFL or IELTS).
  • Documented coding proficiency (e.g., Python, Matlab, C++).
  • Competence in numerical modelling, machine learning, and optimization.

Job Description

  • Conduct research contributing to the development of physics-informed machine learning proxy models for large-scale CO₂ storage.
  • Complete doctoral education, resulting in obtaining a doctorate.
  • Engage in academic publications and disseminate research findings.
  • Participate in international conferences and research collaborations.
  • Collaborate closely with research groups focused on well and reservoir management.
