Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Nanoscience, or a closely related discipline
  • Interest in integrated photonics, quantum optics, or optical materials
  • Experimentalist with experience in optical measurements, nanofabrication, or photonic device characterization
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment

Job Description

The successful candidate will be involved in a multidisciplinary research project that includes:

  • Designing and characterizing hybrid silicon nitride–polymer photonic circuits
  • Investigating photoaddressable birefringent polymer platforms for rewritable and programmable photonic devices
  • Performing optical and quantum optical experiments on integrated photonic components, including Mach–Zehnder interferometers and programmable optical filters
  • Exploring quantum interference phenomena to evaluate the performance of reconfigurable quantum photonic components
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team across academic and industrial networks
