Eligibility/Qualification

RequirementDetails
Academic DegreeMSc in Plant Sciences, Biology, Soil Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Environmental Sciences.
Language ProficiencyProficient in English (C1 level); Dutch is a plus.
ExperienceQuantitative approaches, dynamic modeling, advanced statistical analysis; knowledge of climate change and agricultural systems.
SkillsStrong communication, tech-savvy, solution-oriented, motivated to tackle sustainability issues.

Job Description

  • Conduct field experiments to test and identify optimal rice cultivars and agronomic practices for NW Europe.
  • Assess and evaluate the impacts of rice production on nutrient dynamics and greenhouse gas emissions using statistical and dynamic models.
  • Collaborate with academic and non-academic partners.
  • Communicate research findings to various audiences.
  • Assist in educating and supervising MSc thesis students.
