Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible to apply:
- A master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Mathematics, Control Theory, Neuroscience, Materials Science, Physics, or related fields.
- Existing PhD students can apply to IMPRS-IS within the first year of their doctoral studies.
Financial Support: Admission is competitive, and selected candidates will receive funding via an employment contract, subject to the rules of the Max Planck Society and the two participating universities.
Selection Procedure: The selection process involves the following steps:
- Review of application materials.
- Interviews conducted in Stuttgart and Tübingen (interview travel costs covered by IMPRS-IS).
