Scholarship Description:

PhD Candidate Position in Sustainability Science at Lund University

The successful candidate will contribute to the 5-year research project examining the radical transformation of global agriculture. The project, funded by ERC Advanced Grant PERENNIAL, aims to deliver high-quality research and policy recommendations for a shift to diverse and novel perennial systems in food production. The PhD candidate will conduct independent and interdisciplinary research, addressing critical questions in social science, political economy, political ecology, and science and technology studies.

Eligibility: Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Sustainability Science or a related field, strong interests in critical social science questions related to agriculture and food politics, and methodological curiosity. Proficiency in English is essential, and proficiency in French and a Scandinavian language is advantageous. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary, inclusive, and international research environment is crucial.
