PhD Candidates and Research/Teaching Assistants (f/m/d)
About us: Our team, part of the trans-regional Collaborative Research Center TRR 266 funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), comprises over 100 dedicated researchers exploring the impact of accounting and sustainability reporting on transparency, regulation, and their broader implications on the economy and society. The Sustainability Reporting Navigator (SRN) serves as an open-science resource for navigating sustainability reporting.
Other areas of teaching and research focus on international and national (group) accounting, company analysis, auditing, and valuation.
Designation: PhD Candidates and Research/Teaching Assistants (f/m/d)
Research Area: Financial and Sustainability Reporting
Location: Munich, LMU’s main campus
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in business administration, economics, information systems, or related field (preferably with a specialization in accounting, finance, data science, and/or sustainability management and reporting).
- Interest and motivation in the specified research areas.
- Acquired empirical and data analytical skills, along with content-related knowledge in accounting theory and practice.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in English, ability to work in a team, independence, and high commitment.
Job Description:
- Explore research questions related to financial and sustainability reporting.
- Focus on empirical work related to corporate mandatory and voluntary reporting practices, as well as the role of regulation and learning.
- Conduct tutorials in Bachelor and Master-level courses.
- Supervise students’ theses.
- Present research at international conferences.
- Aspire to publish in leading international journals.
- Contribute as a team member to the activities of our institute and the Accounting & Taxation cluster.
