Job Description:
This research position will involve a combination of experimental work and modeling. Experimental research will be carried out in a lab-scale, high-pressure test facility using advanced techniques for fluid mechanics, combustion, and acoustics, including laser-based optical diagnostics. The modeling work will entail developing analytical low-order models of combustion instabilities and performing large eddy simulations of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations.
