Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Physics, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, or similar
- Strong background in information theory, deep learning, and mathematics
- Significant coursework in machine learning, pattern recognition, statistics, and programming
- Proficiency with software tools such as PyTorch/TensorFlow
- Experience with mathematical modeling for neural networks, spatio-temporal medical image data analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration is advantageous
- Fluent in English
Job Description
- Conduct research on designing estimators for information theoretic measures in deep learning
- Focus on understanding and improving the generalization properties of deep learning algorithms
- Engage in collaborative research with the Integreat centre and other interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in teaching and other academic duties (25% of time)
- Preferred start date: January 2025
