Research Area

The project focuses on the investigation of sequence and structural patterns that explain the lipid selectivity of lipid transfer proteins, utilizing state-of-the-art bioinformatics and molecular modeling tools.


Eligibility/Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in computational chemistry or computational biology. Current master’s students may apply if they complete their degree by 31.07.2025.
  • Experience:
  • Required: Experience in protein bioinformatics and strong programming skills.
  • Preferable: Experience with data analysis, machine learning, molecular modeling, and molecular dynamics simulations.
  • Skills: Independent and structured working ability, collaborative skills, and proficiency in English (both oral and written).

Description

The PhD position will be part of the project “Life at the periphery,” funded by The Research Council of Norway, in collaboration with esteemed research groups in Europe. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and apply computational models and tools, enhancing their research skills while contributing to valuable scientific knowledge.
