Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed five-year master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, or Computational Engineering/Physics/Chemistry (preferably acquired recently).
- A minimum grade equivalent to a B in the master’s thesis and overall average.
- Experience with reservoir simulation or computational programming is required.
- Strong motivation and potential for research in the field.
- Proficient in English (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent).
Description
The PhD candidate will investigate CO2EOR and subsequent CO2 storage to convert hydrocarbon reservoirs into long-term carbon storage facilities. The research is modeling-based and focuses on field-scale applications relevant to the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The project will be further defined in collaboration with supervisors.
