Eligibility/Qualification

  • Relevant Master’s degree (120 ECTS) in food chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related fields.
  • Essential experience in mass spectrometry-based analysis and a strong interest in analytical work and data processing.
  • Basic knowledge of HR-LC/MS is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Strong scientific communication and academic writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
  • Willingness to conduct an international research stay in an EU country during the PhD program.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Conduct research using advanced analytical methods, including suspect screening and mass spectrometry techniques.
  • Generate comprehensive data on microbial toxins in novel foods and food supplements.
  • Collaborate with EU regulatory bodies and contribute to advancing policies related to food safety.
  • Master triple quadrupole LC/MS and time-of-flight mass spectrometry (QTOF-MS) instruments.
