Eligibility/Qualification
- Relevant Master’s degree (120 ECTS) in food chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related fields.
- Essential experience in mass spectrometry-based analysis and a strong interest in analytical work and data processing.
- Basic knowledge of HR-LC/MS is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Strong scientific communication and academic writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a research team.
- Willingness to conduct an international research stay in an EU country during the PhD program.
Job Description
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct research using advanced analytical methods, including suspect screening and mass spectrometry techniques.
- Generate comprehensive data on microbial toxins in novel foods and food supplements.
- Collaborate with EU regulatory bodies and contribute to advancing policies related to food safety.
- Master triple quadrupole LC/MS and time-of-flight mass spectrometry (QTOF-MS) instruments.
