Research Area
Molecular muscle biology with a focus on exercise-induced adaptations in skeletal muscle and the transcriptional response in both recruited and non-recruited myofibers.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Bioscience Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Medicine, Sports Sciences, or other related fields.
- Strong interest in skeletal muscle physiology.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., immunohistochemistry, transcriptomics).
- Basic skills in R/Python for data analysis; experience in bioinformatics/image analysis is a plus.
- Proficient in English.
Job Description
The candidate will primarily work on a project titled “Muscle signals beyond contraction: transcriptional response to exercise within and between muscle fibers.” Responsibilities will include conducting experiments involving single motor unit electrical stimulation, applying spatial transcriptomic techniques, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The fellowship includes a structured doctoral training program with opportunities to engage in educational activities.
