PhD Fellowship in Natural Language Understanding: The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a PhD fellowship focused on Human-Centric Explainable Natural Language Understanding. The position is part of an interdisciplinary project on retrieval-augmented language models, aiming to enhance explanation steering for human-centric applications.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A Master’s degree (MSc) or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Good written and oral skills in English.
  • Relevant background or experience in ML or NLP preferred.
  • Previous scientific publications and relevant work experience will be considered an asset.

Job Description:

  • Conduct a research project with increasing autonomy.
  • Collaborate with research teams within and outside the department.
  • Author scientific papers for high-impact venues.
  • Disseminate research findings internationally.
  • Attend PhD courses and participate in scientific exchanges.
  • Write and defend a PhD thesis based on the research project.
