Job Description
The PhD candidate will focus on:
- Improving bidirectional switches available in imec’s GaN technologies
- Studying and optimizing various design options of the bidirectional switch
- Balancing key device metrics such as on-state resistance, blocking voltage, and switching efficiency
- Designing a suitable monolithically integrated gate driver for high-power bidirectional switches
- Engaging in literature study, simulation, electrical characterization, and technology-related tasks
- Collaborating with a skilled team in a cutting-edge research environment
