Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Diploma or Master’s degree in natural or life sciences with a strong academic record.
  • Proficiency in Linux/UNIX-based systems and HPC environments.
  • Experience in R and/or Python for data analysis and visualization.
  • Familiarity with workflow management tools (Snakemake, Nextflow).
  • Strong coding skills, including version control (Git) and script documentation.
  • Knowledge of sequencing data analysis, including sequence alignment, quality control, and variant calling.
  • Familiarity with sequencing databases (TCGA/ICGC, UCSC, Ensemble).
  • Basic understanding of cell biology, molecular biology, and cancer biology.
  • Fluency in scientific English.

Job Description:

  • Conduct computational analysis of large-scale genomic datasets.
  • Apply and develop computational tools for mutational signature analysis.
  • Process raw sequencing data (Whole Genome and single nucleus RNA sequencing).
  • Contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
  • Plan, perform, and document bioinformatics laboratory work.
  • Collaborate with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (IKIM).
  • Present findings in internal and external meetings.
