Eligibility/Qualification
- Must not have resided or carried out main activities in Italy for over 12 months in the last 36 months.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Quantitative Biology, Systems Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Microbiology, or Biochemistry.
- No PhD awarded, and candidates must be under 30 years old at the start of employment.
Essential Skills
- Strong background in quantitative biology, mathematical modeling, or data science.
- Programming skills (language choice is flexible).
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Skills
- Wet-lab experience in microbiology or molecular biology is a plus.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Develop mechanistic models of microbial interactions affecting antibiotic resistance.
- Integrate data from high-throughput growth assays, time-kill curves, and multi-omics data.
- Collaborate with ENDAMR partners, accessing complementary datasets and expertise.
- Engage in interdisciplinary training, workshops, and secondments in partner institutions.
