Eligibility/Qualification:
- General Requirement:
- Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Environmental Sciences, or Biostatistics.
- Equivalent education or experience (240 credits with at least 60 at advanced level).
- Specific Requirement:
- Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish course English B/English 6.
- Skills Required:
- Knowledge of epidemiological and statistical methods.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Stata).
- Interest in aging, dementia, and environmental risk factors.
Job Description:
The PhD candidate will conduct independent research focusing on the association between environmental exposures (e.g., PM₂.₅, NO₂, environmental noise) and dementia risk using data from the National E-infrastructure for Aging Research (NEAR). Duties include:
- Harmonizing and managing large datasets.
- Performing geospatial exposure assessments.
- Applying advanced statistical models to assess risk associations.
- Investigating moderators and mediators of the environmental-dementia link.
- Publishing research findings and participating in scientific presentations.
