Eligibility/Qualification
To be eligible, the candidate must possess:
- Educational Background:
- Degree in Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Physics, or related fields.
- Second-cycle qualification or at least 240 credits in higher education, with a minimum of 60 credits at the Master’s level (including a 15-credit independent research thesis).
- Candidates expecting to complete their Master’s degree by May 1, 2025, are also eligible to apply.
- Language Proficiency:
- Excellent oral and written skills in English.
- Preferred Additional Skills (not mandatory but advantageous):
- Experience in catalysis, electrochemistry, and spectroscopy methods.
- Strong knowledge in metalorganic chemistry.
- Hands-on experience in the synthesis of coordination compounds.

Description of Responsibilities
- Synthesize and characterize inorganic metal complexes through chemical and spectroscopic methods.
- Investigate redox properties and evaluate activity in photo- and electrocatalysis.
- Develop and analyze photoactive electrodes for applications in water oxidation reactions.
- Collaborate with team members, international institutions, and synchrotron facilities.
- Prepare research reports, publications, and present findings at conferences.
- Fulfill departmental duties, including teaching (up to 20% of time).
The candidate will also have opportunities for secondments to partner institutions in Europe under the Horizon Europe framework.
