Study Area: Machine Learning Techniques for Spectral Shaping of Ultra-Broadband Optical Frequency Combs
Scholarship Description: The project aims to investigate various machine learning techniques to enable feedback control for spectral shaping and quantum noise limited operation of ultra-broadband optical frequency combs. This involves numerical simulations, algorithm development, and experimental implementations. The candidate will work on designing feedback loops, noise characterization, experimental set-ups, and maintaining code repositories.
Eligibility: The ideal candidate should possess a two-year master’s degree (or equivalent) in optical communication, laser physics, nonlinear optics, or related fields. International experience is desirable. Experience in machine learning, digital signal processing, and experimental work would be advantageous.
Required Documents:
- A letter motivating the application (cover letter)
- Curriculum vitae
