Designation: PhD Candidate for Linear Response of Insulators with Broken Space-Inversion or Time-Reversal Symmetries
Research Area: Material properties related to broken space-inversion and/or time-reversal symmetries, such as optical activity, acoustic Faraday effect, and thermal Hall conductivity.
Location: ICMAB-CSIC, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) campus, Barcelona, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Mandatory Master’s degree in Physics or related disciplines
- Basic knowledge of density-functional theory or other methodologies for first-principles simulation of materials is desirable
- Aptitude for scientific programming (e.g., Fortran and/or Python) is desirable
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required
