Eligibility

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A master’s degree (or an equivalent university degree) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven expertise or a strong willingness to learn about electronic-photonic integration and the principles of communication systems.
  • A research-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently as well as in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Interest in collaborating with industrial partners.
  • Motivation to develop teaching skills and coach students.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (C1 level).
  • Preferred but not strictly required: Experience in analog IC integration in CMOS/Bipolar technologies, design and modeling of photonic systems, and circuit simulation/synthesis tools.

Scholarship Description

The successful candidate will be employed full-time for four years, with a minimum of 10% and a maximum of 15% of their time dedicated to teaching tasks. In addition to the base salary, candidates will receive an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% year-end bonus. TU/e provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme (ABP), paid pregnancy/maternity leave, high-quality training programs, and an allowance for commuting and working from home. International candidates may also be eligible for a tax compensation scheme (the Expat Scheme) and support from the Staff Immigration Team.
