Eligibility/Qualification:

  • MSc degree in Earth Sciences, Inorganic Chemistry, Material Sciences, or related disciplines by the start date
  • Experience in experimental design, geological sample processing, thermodynamics, mineralogy, and petrology
  • Statistical analysis and coding experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Motivation for research and a collaborative mindset

Job Description:
The successful candidate will:

  • Compile existing element partitioning data in granite pegmatite systems
  • Identify key phases affecting lithium budgets in magmas
  • Conduct high-pressure, high-temperature crystallization experiments
  • Calibrate empirical expressions for lithium partitioning between mineral phases and silicate melts
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of lithium distribution in crustal magmatic systems

Training and mentorship will be provided, along with opportunities for professional development.
