Eligibility/Qualification
- Applicants must hold a minimum of an upper Second Class UK Honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
- Must be a UK National capable of obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
- Candidates from underrepresented groups (women, disabled, Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic candidates) are particularly encouraged to apply.
Job Description
- Conduct numerical simulations and experimental investigations into antenna designs.
- Develop methodologies to minimize sidelobe emissions while maintaining high gain for the primary beam.
- Collaborate with industry partners and utilize advanced simulation techniques to predict antenna performance.
- Verify predictions through experiments in collaboration with the Teledyne e2v facilities and at the University of Strathclyde.
- Gain transferable skills in numerical simulation and experimental techniques applicable to future careers in academia or industry.
