Eligibility / Qualification

  • Master’s degree (MSc) in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fields, or meeting criteria outlined in Article 186, section 2 of the Polish Law on Higher Education.
  • Laboratory experience in RNA/protein biology and biochemistry.
  • Independent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • (Preferred but not required): Experience with RNA structure mapping, protein overexpression/purification, or RNA/protein interaction analysis.

Job Description

As a PhD student, you will:

  • Design, synthesize, and purify RNA and protein molecules.
  • Analyze structural and functional features of p53 mRNA in vitro and in vivo.
  • Study RNA-protein and RNA-RNA interactions, especially in stress conditions.
  • Utilize cryo-electron microscopy (CryoEM) to investigate RNA tertiary structures.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to publications.

This project is part of the OPUS 27 initiative (No. 2024/53/B/NZ5/01942), focusing on RNA’s role in physiological regulation, cancer development, and therapeutic innovation.
