Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Profound knowledge of building physics and building systems
- Knowledge of building energy simulation and/or energy system optimization is advantageous
- Programming skills in Python are desirable
- Experience in scientific work and familiarity with scientific principles
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Description
The candidate will engage in research to develop a PhD thesis in urban energy system modelling, focusing on the techno-economic aspects of Positive Energy Districts in Vienna. Responsibilities include coordination with project members, publishing in scientific journals, and participating in national and international conferences.
