The DARES group at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is seeking three highly motivated doctoral researchers to advance research in dependable automation, trustworthy artificial intelligence, resilient control, and cybersecurity. Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: Must hold a Master’s degree in systems and control, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field at the time of application.
- Background: Strong foundation in control systems, machine learning/AI, optimization, cyber-physical systems, or cybersecurity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++).
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English.
- Additional Requirement: Must be able to obtain study rights within the doctoral program at Tampere University.
Job Description
Successful candidates will work within a multidisciplinary team to:
- Conduct high-quality, original research.
- Publish findings in leading international journals and present at conferences.
- Participate in national and European research projects.
- Collaborate with academic and industrial partners.
- Optionally, conduct research visits to partner institutions.
