PhD Opportunity in Combinatorial AI: This is a fully funded PhD opportunity in the field of Combinatorial Artificial Intelligence (also known as Third Wave AI) for defence applications. The research aims to define novel approaches to developing and combining 1st wave (rules/logic-based) and 2nd wave (machine learning) AI techniques to address challenges in the defence sector. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a world-leading scholar and in collaboration with the industrial partner BAE Systems.
