Job Description:
The PhD researcher will focus on:
- Calling various kinds of genetic variation from Aedes mosquito populations using whole genome sequencing.
- Designing and implementing bioinformatic pipelines for high-quality variant data analysis.
- Developing cloud-native software tools for population genomic analysis.
- Conducting laboratory work to create a gold-standard arbovirus detection assay.
- Engaging in training and outreach activities related to genomic surveillance.
