PhD Position – Artificial Metalloenzyme Design with Late Transition Metal Active Sites
This PhD project will involve the rational design, preparation, and evaluation of artificial metalloenzymes. The research focuses on creating new biotechnology for the efficient and catalytic synthesis of complex molecules by engineering xenobiotic catalytic sites into structured peptide and protein assemblies. The project will screen the resulting artificial metalloenzymes for asymmetric catalysis and establish key structure-function relationships.
