Eligibility/Qualification
- A qualifying university degree (diploma, master, or similar) in Physics, Chemistry, or related fields.
- Strong interest in developing theoretical methods and fundamental research.
- Excellent proficiency in English (reading and writing).
- Programming proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran.
- Familiarity with computer simulations of many-body systems (classical molecular dynamics simulations and quantum chemical calculations).
- Expertise in scientific computing is advantageous.
Description
The selected PhD candidate will focus on the development and application of advanced theoretical and computational methods to study spin dynamics in molecular and solid-state systems. This includes working with synthetic molecular systems and nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers in nanodiamonds. Responsibilities also encompass formulating scientific problems, interpreting research results, writing publications, and regular teaching duties. The position offers access to modern equipment and the opportunity to collaborate with various scientific personnel within several collaborative centers.
