Research Area & Project Details

The project combines computational and experimental approaches to design, engineer, and transform biosensor candidates into fully functional tools within bacterial cells.

Key applications include:

  • Developing allosteric biosensors for major classes of antibiotics.
  • Performing real-time, high-resolution measurements of antibiotic concentrations at infection sites.
  • Monitoring antibiotic dynamics inside bacterial cells across various models, ranging from biofilm treatments to stem-cell-derived organoids and bioengineered tissue infection systems.
