Eligibility & Qualification

Must-have Requirements:

  • An MSc or equivalent degree in biochemistry, virology, or structural biology.
  • Practical wet-lab experience focusing heavily on virology and translation (e.g., purification of viruses/ribosomes, virus propagation, cell culture virology, ribosome complex assembly).
  • Theoretical knowledge of single-particle cry-electron microscopy or cry-electron tomography.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice-to-have Assets:

  • Hands-on work experience in cry-electron microscopy and data analysis.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Job Description & Benefits

The successful candidate will investigate how viruses coordinate genome replication with protein synthesis inside infected cells. Using high-end cry-EM infrastructure and biochemical methods, you will explore the molecular interface between viruses and the host cell’s translation machinery.
