PhD Position – Contaminants of Emerging Concern: The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) invites applications for a PhD position to investigate the occurrence of Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) in the environment. The research will involve the use of target, suspect, and non-target analytical tools to assess the presence of CECs in various environmental compartments. The study will also integrate sewage-based epidemiology, environmental risk assessment, and prioritization approaches to address questions related to environmental contamination and human lifestyles. This position is part of national/international projects/contracts.

- MSc in chemistry, pharmacy, or environmental sciences.

- Contract Duration: 3 years (with possible extension)
- Estimated Annual Gross Salary: €30,000
