Description
The PhD candidate will focus on:
- Developing a digital twin model for monitoring AEM cell health and forecasting remaining useful life for predictive maintenance.
- Utilizing neural network surrogates of detailed physics-based models to access internal cell parameters during operation.
- Exploring methodologies such as recurrent neural networks, Kalman filters, and inverse parameter estimation.
- Contributing to experimental stability testing of AEM cells.
Candidates are expected to work collaboratively within a team of researchers, engage with industry partners, and possess strong numerical modelling and machine learning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model development and health monitoring of AEM electrolyser systems.
- Conduct empirical experiments for model validation.
- Collaborate with external partners from academia and industry.
