Eligibility To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Hold (or will soon receive) a Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Background: Have a strong foundation in wireless and mobile networks, as well as machine learning (ideally Reinforcement Learning or decision-making agents).
- Research Interests: Display interest or background in network resilience, robust optimization, or wireless security (e.g., mitigating jamming or network failures).
- Practical Skills: Possess excellent coding skills (Python, C++) and hands-on experience with wireless network simulation tools like ns-3 or prototyping frameworks.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills for multi-disciplinary teamwork, and the ability to meet project milestones.
- Language: Fluent in English, both speaking and writing (C1 CEFR level).
Scholarship Description The successful candidate will join the IDLab research cluster on Intelligent Wireless Networking. The role involves exploring agentic AI and reinforcement learning-based control for adaptive spectrum usage, multi-RAT coordination (integrating 5G/6G and Wi-Fi), and power control.
The fellowship offers a 100% net salary of an AAP member, determined by family status and seniority, which is considered free of personal income tax. Additional benefits include 36 days of holiday leave annually, bridge days, a bicycle allowance, eco vouchers, and extensive training opportunities.
