Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences
  • Strong background in cellular and molecular biology
  • FELASA EU function ABD license (preferred)
  • Previous experience with culturing human intestinal organoids (preferred)
  • Fluency in English (essential), fluency in Danish (advantageous)

Job Description:
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of methods and procedures for a clinical trial of a stem cell therapy for the treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis. Key activities include:

  • Adapting current cell culture conditions to be GMP compatible
  • Developing standard operating procedures for culturing intestinal epithelial organoids
  • Supporting the transition to a GMP facility
  • Establishing transplantation methods suitable for patients
  • Evaluating safety and efficacy of the cellular products
  • Establishing quality control and release criteria measurement of the cellular product
