Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences
- Strong background in cellular and molecular biology
- FELASA EU function ABD license (preferred)
- Previous experience with culturing human intestinal organoids (preferred)
- Fluency in English (essential), fluency in Danish (advantageous)
Job Description:
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the development of methods and procedures for a clinical trial of a stem cell therapy for the treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis. Key activities include:
- Adapting current cell culture conditions to be GMP compatible
- Developing standard operating procedures for culturing intestinal epithelial organoids
- Supporting the transition to a GMP facility
- Establishing transplantation methods suitable for patients
- Evaluating safety and efficacy of the cellular products
- Establishing quality control and release criteria measurement of the cellular product
