Research Area

The project is embedded in the OTP-NWO funded project “BATT-AI,” in collaboration with TU Delft and industry partners. It focuses on the following areas:

  • Risk-aware optimization of grid capacity
  • Dynamic capacity allocation of energy storage systems
  • Market participation and grid stability solutions

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field (or will shortly acquire)
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis of power systems and BESS is desirable
  • Knowledge of mathematical modeling, optimization, and AI/ML techniques is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Team spirit and ability to work in an interdisciplinary international environment
  • Proficiency in English
